Tijuca Forest - High Point Dona Marta - Corcovado

            The tour for the Tijuca Forest starts passing on the bucolic Saintliness Teresa neighborhood, with its parallelopiped streets where travels the last tram of Brazil.
            This tour makes the first stop on the high point Mirante Dona Marta. One of the most visited places of Rio de Janeiro, because up there the visitor has a beautiful view of the almost total city, on 340m high, including a view of Corcovado Mount, on 710m high.            
            From Mirante Dona Marta, the vehicle follows for a visit on Christ, the most known statue of the country, with reproductions in others towns and until out of the country.
            On Corcovado the tourists can count on elevators and escalators, inaugurated in January of 2003, without being necessary to climb more than 200 steps.
            After the visit to the Monument, the tour continues for the High Point of Nice View (Alto da Boa Vista) neighborhood. The only one situated in the National Park of Tijuca, where is the entrance for the Tijuca Forest and its enchantments.
            As the Park has an area of 32 km2, that would be necessary in average two days to visit it for complete.  The stroll takes the tourist in the main points of the forest that shows a diversified fauna and flora in the Wood that is about 20 minutes from the downtown.
            To visit these beautiful places of the National Park of Tijuca, greater natural forest reserve of urban forest of the country that covers almost the whole city, is a privilege not for foreigners only, but also for Brazilians.
