Beaches
It has more than twenty beaches, with different characteristics.
Many tourists visit João Fernandes and Ferradura very
frequently, where you can rent sports equipments, as jet ski,
banana-boat, pedalinho and kayak and windsurf board. In Geribá,
the bars at the edge of the beaches are very visited. Iate
Clube (Yacht Club) is in the Ossos beach, in the city center,
where you can get around in a schooner. To those people who
prefer tranquility, there are isolated and native beaches
– in Rasa beach, with calm water and constant winds,
it’s possible to practice windsurf. The Brava beach,
as its name supposes, has big waves good for surfing. There
are also beaches with nature pools or big coasts sought by
divers, as Ferradurinha, Azeda and Azedinha beaches. The nudists
go to the small beach Olho de Boi, hidden by enormous rocks.
Boat sailings
There are several tourist schooners that sail through beaches
and islands on the Búzios coast. Another option is
going on tours in fishermen ships, the trawlers, and the visitor
has the chance of fishing.
Rua das Pedras (Pedras' Street)
Bars that offer drinks, snacks and a great variety of music,
restaurants specialized in different dishes and a lot of people
walking around are Rua das Pedras’ marks. It’s
the meeting point for those who enjoy the nightlife in Búzios.
The time of more intense visitation is special: when the midnight
is coming, the street gets crowded and the atmosphere is lively.
However, in the mornings, it’s almost desert. About
2:00 p.m., commerce is open. There are several shops: craftwork,
decoration, plastic artists’ ateliers and boutiques,
some famous brands. |
